Google payday / Is it a scam

I've seen all kind of advertisements that with Google Payday you can make thousands of dollars within weeks. However Google is not associated with Google Payday. I also read that Google only pays monthly. Can someone tell me if this is a legit opportunity. Please post your experiences and comments. This will help me and many others. Thanks
